Vehicle Strikes Bicycle: Waukee Police Reports

June 17
A vehicle driven by Kevin McCormick of 115 Broderick Drive, Waukee, was northbound on Southeast Boone Drive and slowing to make a left turn into the Walnut Creek Little League Park. Police said a vehicle driven by Megan Hyatt of 15018 Rosewood Drive, Clive, was northbound on Southeast Boone Drive and rear-ended McCormick's vehicle because of sun glare. Damage was estimated at $2,500.

June 18
A vehicle driven by Heather Walton of 3410 163rd St., Urbandale, was northbound on Warrior Lane and making a right turn onto Hickman Road when the vehicle reportedly struck a bicycle that didn't yield at the stop light. There were no injuries reported and no vehicle damage.

June 20

Bradley Jacobsen, 46, of 31347 Ute Ave., Waukee, was arrested for OWI.
