Driver Ticketed in Car Accident: Waukee Police Reports

June 14

A vehicle driven by Cory Goldsmith of 155 S.E. Hazelwood Drive, Waukee, was westbound on Southeast University Avenue while a vehicle driven by Michael Thow of 1154 S.E. Mapleleaf Lane, Waukee, was southbound on Southeast Mapleleaf Lane. As Thow prepared to make a left turn onto Southeast University Avenue, an unknown vehicle in the inside lane was westbound on University, turning right onto Mapleleaf. Thow made his left turn and was struck by Goldsmith's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $7,000. Thow was cited for failure to yield upon making a left turn.

Heidi Perkins of 25 S.E. Windfield Parkway, Waukee, reported a vehicle burglary. The value of the items taken was reported at $47.

June 17

Sean Flaherty, 37, of 852 S.E. Williams Court, Waukee, was arrested in the 800 block of Southeast Williams Court and charged with interference with official acts.
