Drivers Ticketed in Car Accidents: Waukee Police Reports

July 15

A vehicle driven by Marie McCormick of 115 Broderick Drive, Waukee, was northbound on Warrior Lane when police said a vehicle driven by Betty Miller of 4601 154th St., Urbandale, was stopped at a stop sign westbound on Laurel Street. Officers said Miller pulled forward from the stop sign in front of McCormick's vehicle, causing a collision. Damage was estimated at $17,000. Miller was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield right of way.

Orman Dixon of Waukee reported a case of identity theft.

July 16

Rebecca Genzen of 793 Collins Drive, Waukee, reported a burglary to a vehicle. Items taken were valued at $200.

A vehicle driven by Janell Bolstad of 195 Third St., Waukee, was northbound on Warrior Lane from Hickman Road. Police said a vehicle driven by Eric Swanson of 33149 Jerry Trail, Waukee, failed to stop for a red light and struck Bolstad's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $16,000. Swanson was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
