TJ Rushing, Neighbor

TJ is a 25 year-old Des Moines native who attended Hoover High School. His interest in journalism was sparked when he was the sports editor for Hoover High School newspaper. 

He attended Iowa State University where he wrote for the Iowa State Daily. He graduated from there in 2008 with a degree in journalism and mass comunications.

After graduation, TJ was hired by KCCI to be a high school sports reporter and blogger for the High School Playbook website where he worked until April 2010. When he's not freelancing, he tends bar at Buffalo Wild Wings in West Des Moines.

"Waukee is a booming town with lots of exciting things happening," says TJ. "I look forward to covering the community."
