ReplyAnyone who lives in the Waukee area who needs an emergency room should go to Mercy West or Methodist West. I know someone who has gone to Methodist West emergency twice, and there was NO waiting either time. Why would anyone go downtown?

ReplyWhat's the point in being uncomfortable when all it takes for comfort is the flip of a switch? I could have gutted it out, but I'm not going to watch my dogs pant all day because they are too hot. You're darn right I turned on my air conditioner.

ReplyWhy was a fire hydrant being tested at 7:47 a.m. on a school day? That's about the worst possible time to be doing such a thing. Did anyone on that crew have any common sense? The insurance companies should try to get the auto body repair money from the city of Waukee.

ReplyYes, we should assist today's young adults with those same educational values. I also had a National Defense Student Loan to help me through college. Ten percent of my loan was forgiven for each year I taught, up to the limit of 50% forgiveness, so I only had to repay half my loan. A program like that for critical occupations with a shortage of people to fill them should be reinstituted.
