1) Yard Waste Collection Begins Today Yard waste collection is today in Waukee. Pick up will be every Monday through the last week of November. Residents are reminded that yard waste material is to be placed in yard waste bags or clearly marked containers. Do not use garbage or recycling bins. Sticks/branches are to be bundled and are not to exceed 4 feet in length. For questions, contact the city of Waukee at (515) 987-4522. 2) Activities at the Waukee Public Library Looking for something to do with the kids today? The Waukee Public Library has a few things for you to do. Whimsical Ones is for babies and toddlers ages 12-24 months. Children and caregivers will enjoy songs, finger plays and read-aloud stories, followed by playtime. …

1) Rotary and Chamber Ambassador Meetings Interested in joining the Rotary Club? The group will meet first thing this morning at 6:45 a.m. at the Des Moines Golf & Country Club in West Des Moines. Interested in becoming a Waukee Chamber of Commerce Ambassador? The Ambassadors volunteer at Chamber functions, help organize events, visit member and prospective member businesses and help connect current members.
