Police Blotter: Waukee Man Arrested for Domestic Assault

Waukee police responded to a report of an argument resulting in domestic assault charges for one Waukee man.

When they arrived, police found Steven Koethe engaged in an argument with his girlfriend resulting in minor injuries to both parties. Koethe was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Waukee police responded to several reports of criminal mischief last week in Waukee. On Nov. 20, damage to a bill changer was reported at the Waukee Car Wash in the 400 block of Ashworth Drive. No money was taken but the machine sustained $300 in damages. Also Nov. 20, two similar incidents of criminal mischief were reported. Police Blotter: Copper Theft Reported in Waukee

Waukee police responded to a theft last week that resulted in the theft of copper from a vehicle.

Copper prices are on the rise which means so are thefts of the "precious" metal, even in Waukee. On Sunday afternoon, Oct. 28, a Waukee man reported a theft from a motor vehicle. A window on a van parked at a residence in the 300 block of Christopher Drive had been broken and items were taken from the vehicle. The vehicle sustained approximately $200 damage.
