Timberline Campground is located one mile south of Central Waukee. The campground has been in existence under various ownerships since the 1940s. Current hosts Dick and Deb Christensen want visitors to "create new or bring back old memories" by spending some time out in nature with loved ones.
Timberline is open from April 1 to November 1 and offers RV and tent campsites as well as cabins. Amenities include a general store, an arcade, a pool, horseshoe pits, a playground, electrical hook-ups, showers and a laundry room.
