The Waukee High School Homecoming parade, pep rally and coronation were held Thursday night in Waukee.
It was a big night in Waukee Thursday as students, parents and supports celebrated Homecoming 2012 with a parade, pep rally, coronation and powder puff games.
The parade got underway at 6 p.m. at the old Waukee Elementary before ending up at Waukee Middle School. From there, fans packed Waukee Stadium to watch the crowing of the king and queen, participate in a pep rally and watch the Waukee powder puff games.
Waukee's Sydni Rowan and Jordan Dean were named queen and king, respectively. Other Homecoming court members included: Komuri Lejokle, Riley Gray, Tom Bean, Andy Rushenberg, Charlie Raike, Raina Bueno, Maddie Rouw, Zoe Scheve, Rebecca Schrodt and Tori Giudici.

An open house at Waukee High School takes place today from 4-7 p.m. before the Warriors face Des Moines Roosevelt tonight at Waukee Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
