Still Time to Get Tickets for Romney Campaign Event in Dallas County

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney will make a campaign swing through central Iowa Tuesday, holding an event at a Dallas County farm. Tickets are still available today.

Tickets are still available today to see Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in a Dallas County campaign stop on Tuesday.

Romney will appear at the Koch Family Farm, 2261 105th St. near Van Meter, according to the Republican Party of Iowa. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., with the event beginning at 11:30 a.m.

To attend, pick up tickets before 8 tonight at Romney's Iowa campaign headquarters, 2775 86th St. in Urbandale.

Tickets also are available online at www.mittromney.com/IA.

The most recent Des Moines Register Iowa Poll showed President Obama ahead of Romney, 49 percent to 45 percent, but with opportunities for Romney to gain voters who worry about the economy.

And last week's poor debate by the president -- which both Iowa Democrats and Republicans notched as a solid win by Romney -- also helps the former Massachusetts governor.

President Obama looked on the "defensive" and "to be dragging," participants in the Iowa Patch live chat said during the first of three presidential debates leading up to the 2012 presidential election.

A range of participants joined the live chat Wednesday evening. Toward the end, both supporters of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney agreed that Romney came out on top.

"I think the debate will slow Obama's momentum and help Romney but I'm not sure how much," Chelle Adkins wrote.
