Thefts Reported from House: Waukee Police Reports

July 29

Laci Stevens of Waukee reported the theft of two cameras and a debit card from a residence. The items taken were valued at $500.

Vehicles driven by Glendeana Murray of 425 Gray Ave., Waukee, and Kelli Bodwell of 425 Gray Ave., Waukee, were both westbound on Hickman Road and stopped at the stoplight at Alice's Road. Police said a vehicle driven by Steve Ackelson of 2324 E. 41st Court, Des Moines, rear-ended Bodwell's vehicle, pushing it into Murray's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $11,500. Ackelson was cited for failure to stop in an assured, clear distance.

Jessica Schmit of Waukee reported a case of identity theft.

Cindee Campbell of Waukee reported the theft of a bicycle in the first block of Warrior Lane. The bike was valued at $60.
