OWI Arrest, Driver Ticketed After Crash: Waukee Police Reports

July 24

A vehicle driven by Karen Smith of 560 S.E. Brick Drive, Waukee, was southbound on Southeast Brick when police said a vehicle driven by Eugene Lankford of 1650 S.E. Holiday Crest Circle, Waukee, was eastbound on Southeast Laurel Street. Officers said Lankford's vehicle was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Southeast Laurel and Southeast Brick, the attempted to go forward and struck Smith's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $18,000. Lankford was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through highway.

July 25

Michael Darden, 30, of 3312 S.E. Fifth St., Des Moines, was arrested in the 400 block of Deming Avenue on a West Des Moines warrant for fourth-degree theft.

Andrea Kellhoff, 40, of 150 Broderick Drive, Waukee, was arrested in the 1200 block of Warrior Lane and charged with OWI.
