Money Bag Missing from Pizza Hut: Waukee Police Reports

Aug. 7

Employees at Pizza Hut, 274 W. Hickman Road, reported a money bag was taken from the restaurant with $760 in it.

Aug. 9

Eric Joe, 31, of 1760 S.E. L.A. Grant Parkway, Waukee, was arrested at the intersection of Southeast L.A. Grant Parkway and Southeast Pleasantview Drive and charged with public intoxication.

A vehicle driven by Sydney Slagter of 205 Terrace Drive, Waukee, was eastbound on Southeast Windfield Parkway and had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Warrior Lane. As Slagter started through the intersection when a vehicle driven by Leeza Thompson of 914 Cummins Parkway, Des Moines, was northbound on Warrior Lane and went through the stop sign, reportedly striking Slagter's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $6,000. Thompson was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.                    

A vehicle driven by Rick Levi of 35305 Cabernet Circle, Waukee, was southbound in the 300 block of Sixth Street when a vehicle driven by Patrick Becker of 445 Laurel St., Waukee, backed out of a parking space and reportedly struck Levi's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $2,500.
