Car Crashes, Arrest for Domestic Assault: Waukee Police Reports

July 29

Christopher Snyder of Waukee reported the theft of an iPhone valued at $199 in the 200 block of North Warrior Lane.

July 30

A vehicle driven by Dustin Beane of 1240 E. 37th Court, Des Moines, was northbound in the 1100 block of Alice's Road. When Beane tried to turn left into 
business, a vehicle driven by Jacob McDonald of 15516 Ridgemont Drive, Urbandale, allegedly tried to pass Beane's vehicle and struck the rear passenger door. Damage was estimated at $4,000. McDonald was cited for passing contrary to a highway sign.

July 31

Lovelle Banks, 32, of 750 S.E. Parker Drive, Waukee, was arrested for domestic assault.

Vehicles driven by Melinda Hatchitt of 1315 Hyvue St., Adel, and Steven Anderson of 220 Bel Aire Drive, Waukee, were westbound on Hickman Road and stopped at a stop light at Alice's Road. Police said a vehicle driven by Janet Larsen of 7502 Goodman Drive, Urbandale, rear-ended Anderson's vehicle, pushing it into Hatchitt's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $7,000. Larsen was cited for failure to stop in an assured, clear distance.
