On Good
Friday, April 18, join Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Avenue, Clive,
Iowa, for three worship services that prepare us for Easter Sunday.
At noon, we will have an organ
meditation service with Lenten scriptural readings and various composers’
interpretations of treasured Lenten hymns.
At 5:45 p.m., we will take you on an
interactive Journey with Jesus where our youth will help to re-enact the
events leading to the cross. At 7:15 p.m. we will offer the Way of the Cross
worship experience with music by the Jubilate Ringers, Chancel Choir,
organ, and orchestra. The focus of both of these worship services will be the
traditional Good Friday story.

The 7:15 worship service will
feature the presentation of J.S. Bach’s Cantata # 4 with choir and
orchestra. This cantata, while written for Easter morning, will serve as the
benediction for Good Friday as we prepare to bring the light of Easter morning
back into the sanctuary.
To get to Faith
Lutheran Church, located in the western part of the Des Moines area, take
Interstate-235 to the Valley West Drive exit. Go north on Valley West Drive to
University Avenue. Go west on University Avenue beyond the K-Mart store. Faith
Lutheran Church is at the northeast corner of University Avenue and 104th
Street by the Clive water tower.
