The Village at Legacy Pointe Adds Massage Therapy Classes

The Village at Legacy Pointe has announced added programs to their physical wellness initiatives for residents, including massage therapy services.

Massage therapy, provided by Joe Ira, is perhaps the favorite among most residents. “I agreed to be the Guinea pig with Joe and I was so impressed with his knowledge and how comfortable he made me feel during the whole process,” said resident , Jane Tiggeman who serves as Resident Council President. “I felt at ease during my entire massage and I would recommend his services to all residents at Legacy Pointe!”

Joe will be featuring four different options for residents to choose from:

·         Clinical Active Engagement massages: mixed with positional release and trigger point therapy, this massage is a work out for tight muscles. It’s helpful for chronic pain, new injuries and helps with range of motion, strength and flexibility.

·         Swedish Relaxing Full Body massages: 60% of the focus is on shoulder, back and neck with the additional 40% focused on the remaining areas of the body.

·         Bamboo Full Body massage: includes warm bamboo treatment for a soothing, resort-like experience.

·         Thai Foot Reflexology massage: focuses on legs, calves, ankles and feet and is a great way to unwind and detoxify.

“Residents can sign up for massages by calling Joe directly or making the quick walk to our newly remodeled Vitality Fitness Center,” says Tammy Olson, Executive Director. “So far the response has been wonderful and we’re proud to offer yet another enhancement to the lifestyle our residents enjoy.”
