Ben Schuh is a painter who lives in Waukee, but considers Des Moines his home base.
Schuh brought a number of pieces to the 2013 Iowa Arts Festival held over the weekend in Iowa City.
Several of the pieces use bold colors and broad brush strokes to capture cityscapes from San Francisco, New York City and Des Moines, but Schuh has many other subjects, as well.
Despite some rain showers, Schuh told Iowa City Patch that he was selling pieces and the show was a success.
