Waukee Named a Best Place to Live by CNN Money Magazine

Although you probably already know it, CNN Money Magazine has declared Waukee one of the best places in the country to live.

The publication recently released its 2013 list highlighting America's best small towns. Waukee was #22 on the list. 

Waukee is one of two Iowa cities that made this year's list. Ankeny is the other, which came in at #37.

This is Waukee's first time being named to the list.

Here's a little glimpse of why Money Magazine chose Waukee as a great place to live: 

Waukee is one of the fastest-growing communities in the state -- no surprise given its supply of affordable homes (median home prices well below $200,000) and a school district known for excellent extracurricular programs.

The town recently committed to $50 million in new development projects, including an expansion of a major road corridor and renovations to several areas downtown.
