The 10th Anniversary of the National Night Out event was held Tuesday night at Centennial Park and was sponsored by the City of Waukee and the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. Families recieved free hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks provided by Waukee Fareway, Atlantic Bottling Company and prepared by members of the Waukee VFW Post 11517.
Families were also treated to inflatables, a rock climbing wall, petting zoo, dunk tank, game truck, a flight simulator and safety demonstrations by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Corrections. All this while being serenaded by the sounds of the Waukee Big Band.
