The classes will be held from June 4-8\, 2012 with morning or afternoon class sessions av ailable. The hour classes are divided in to K- 4th and 5th -8th grades.& nbsp\; Each day the students will learn about a different artist and cre ate something in that style.\nMonday: Pablo Picasso\nCollage\nTuesday: W assily Kandinsky\nPainting in the style of Kandinsky\, infusing color an d lines together\nWednesday: Jackson Pollock\nSplatter-style painting in the style of Jackson Pollock\nThursday: Modern Popular Culture\nMaking Fandango Puppets or Papier-Mâ\;ché\; Angry Birds\nFriday: Vin cent Van Gogh\nDrawing with oil pastels\nA certified teacher always teac hes the Waukee Area Arts Council classes for kids. This year Jill Belgar de an art teacher at Perry will be leading the classes. &ldquo\;I&rsquo\ ;m excited by the classes this year and the artists the children will be learning about\,&rdquo\; said Karen Dluhos president of the board. &ldq uo\;We are also trying to make it simple and have an option that will wo rk in today&rsquo\;s busy schedules.&rdquo\;\nK-4th grade students will choose between 9:00 to 10:00 am or 12:30 - 1:30 pm and 5th &ndash\; 8th grade students will choose between 10:30 to 11:30 am or 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Cost is $50 per person for the week (materials included).
