We have all kinds of things to say about our first year sponsoring a team in the YMCA's Capital City Basketball League, but we'll let the photo gallery do the talking, except for this: Thanks.

Thanks to everybody who took part in it, starting with the Walnut Creek YMCA's Derek Hannah, who organized the league, and to his staff for helping out. Thanks to the other sponsors, ADIO Chiropractic, Coca-Cola, Capital Orthopaedic, Peak Performance and the Y.

Thanks to Royce White, who gave a packed Valley Southwoods crowd a show with Craig Brackins, another league alumn who came back for a night of fun. And thanks to so many fans who showed up over the season and to all of those who helped us raise funds with Royce for Orchard House and for Y Partners.

Thanks also to all the players who took part. And, finally, special thanks to the guys who made Patch champions of the league in the first year. Turns out, they're not just some really good basketball players, but they're some pretty great guys, too.

(Congrats to MVP Tyrus McGee, Defensive Player of the Year Nick Smith, and Newcomer of the Year Georges Niang.)
