Waukee YMCA Rays Swim Team Wraps Up Season With Big Wins
The 145 swimmers on the Waukee YMCA Rays swim team recently completed the 2011-12 YMCA swim season.

The Waukee YMCA Rays Swim Team, with 145 swimmers, recently completed the 2011-12 Y Swim Season.
The team qualified 117 swimmers for the 2012 Y State Swim Meet and brought home the Iowa YMCA Division 1 Team Champion Award.
The Waukee YMCA Rays had 10 swimmers become 2012 state record breakers: Sam Davey, Noah Storts, Carson Copple, Logan Keller, Gus Muenzenmay, Olivia Crouse, Kayla Rinderknect, Zoe Bussanmas, Madeline Bridges, and Emily Baeth.
Brett Shaw and Ashley Dean were nominated to be a part of the Iowa All-Star Team.These athletes have a long history with Y swimming and are positive role models for their peers and do their part to give back to the community.

Waukee YMCA Swim Team also took 77 qualifiers to compete in the 2012 Y Regional Meet which was held in Rochester, Minn. This Y Regional Meet included top Y Swimmers from the Midwest. Waukee YMCA Rays came home the Region 8 Y Regional Team Champions!
