Waukee Police Blotter: Report of Assault Turns Out to Be a Fib

On Jan. 27, a concerned parent contacted the Waukee Police Department to report that his 6 year-old son had been assaulted while on the school bus.

On Monday, it was discovered that child wasn't telling the truth and the case was closed.

There were no charges filed. No word on whether a timeout was given to the alleged victim.

Jan. 23

A vehicle driven by Cody Price of Des Moines was struck by a vehicle driven by Noah Larrison of Clive. Vehicle damage was estimated at $5,500.

reported a theft of fuel in the 1900 block of Southeast University Avenue. 

Evelyn Nail of Waukee reported a violation of protection order in the 500 block of Southeast Brick Drive.

Michael Dreyer of Rose Creek, Minn. reported a theft from a vehicle in the 500 block of Southeast University Avenue.

Jan. 24

Slycord Electric Company of Adel reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle in the 300 block of Christopher Avenue.

Nicole Tjaden of Urbandale reported a theft in the 800 block of Sixth Street.

Danielle Dutton of Waukee reported fraud in the 300 block of Northeast Kingwood Drive.

A report of harassment was taken in the 500 block of Southeast Greenbriar Drive.

Jan. 25

Casey's General Store reported a theft of fuel in the 1900 block of Southeast University Drive.

Atul Chandrum of West Des Moines reported a theft in the 2300 block of Southeast LA Grant Parkway.

Jan. 26

A 14 year-old male was arrested in the 600 block of Southeast University Avenue and charged with theft (fourth degree).

A 17 year-old male was arrested in the 500 block of Southeast University Avenue and charged with harassment.

A report of harassment was taken in the 100 block of Glendale Drive.

Gary Jensen of Minnetonka, Minn. was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated (first offense) and open container.

A 16 year-old male was arrested and charged with harassment in the 500 block of Southeast University Avenue.

Jan. 27

A vehicle driven by Robert Trewin of Waukee slid into a legally parked vehicle. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,050.

Patrick Meeker of Waukee was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for harassment.

Andrew Harvey, 18, of Runnells was arrested and charged with possession of alcohol underage.

Jan. 28

Michael Sharp of Waukee reported criminal mischief in the 1600 block of Greentree Drive.
