Waukee Fest Returns to the Triangle Aug. 24 & 25
Waukee Fest, Waukee's premier summer celebration, kicks off on Friday, Aug. 24 on the downtown Triangle.
Get ready for Waukee Fest 2012 - the city's annual festival - slated to be held over two days this year, Aug. 24 & 25.
Waukee Fest 2012 promises to be even better than year's past with more food, more fun and more activities showcasing all that's great about the city of Waukee.
This year's theme - "Celebrate the Past" - honors the newly created Waukee Area Historical Society and the funding of a Local History Preservation Project by REAP, City of Waukee, and Friends of the Library.
Matt Jermeir, director of the Waukee Parks & Recreation Department, said the event continues to grow and represent the city of Waukee.
"We're very excited about Waukee Fest this year," he said. "It's great to have an event like this where we can provide an opportunity for residents to get out and network with their neighbors."
