Waukee Daddy-Daughter Dance to Raise Money for Prom

Dads and daughters can celebrate Valentine's Day early at a dance sponsored by the Waukee After-Prom Committee.

Waukee Schools News Release:

The Waukee After-Prom Committee will hold a Daddy Daughter Dance to help raise money to support the 2013 party.

Dads or Dad-like friends are invited to bring their favorite valentine (ages 2-22) on Feb. 9. The dance will be held at Prairieview School, 655 S.E. University Ave. in Waukee.

The event, which will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30, will feature a DJ, cupcakes, punch, wrist corsages and glow necklaces. At 6:30 the DJ will announce “lights out” and the glow necklaces will light up the dance floor. There will also be popcorn, water, soda and professional photos available for purchase.

The cost to attend the dance is $25 per couple with an other $10 fee for each additional daughter. If you are interested in attending the dance, a completed registration form and payment must be mailed to Waukee After Prom, 265 Linden Drive, Waukee, IA 50263. Registration forms returned to the schools will not be honored.

Admission tickets will not be mailed. Dads and daughters will check in at the registration table as they arrive. Only 250 corsages will be available, so dads and daughters are encouraged to register early.
