The Daily Dose: Garage Sales, Garage Sales and More Garage Sales

It's the Citywide Garage Sale this Saturday in Waukee and boy am I excited. What will you be up to today? Garage sale, anyone?

I love a good garage sale. Seriously, I'm totally geeking out over Waukee's Citywide Garage Sale. It's like an addiction, only much less expensive. If you happen to be out this weekend and we run into each other, remember to say hi. It's always nice to know you're among friends.

For a list of area sales, go here and here.

I had so much fun doing the Stivers Ford Lincoln story. Everyone at the dealership was so easy to work with and then I met a few of their actual customers. It's always nice when someone is truly passionate about a product, especially when it's a car. Check out the video running this morning too.

If you haven't already, you really need to Ask the Patch Pros a question. I don't know about you but I learn so much from these features. It's free advice and you don't even have dial a 1-800 number.

Votes are trickling in for Patch's "Best Place to Pamper Mom" on Mother's Day. Have you voted yet? Check out the contest and remember to get your vote in today.

Tomorrow afternoon looks gorgeous! Tomorrow night, not so much. According to the National Weather Service, we're looking at 80s and sunny today. The rest of the weekend is as follows:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Light wind becoming south between 10 and 13 mph.

Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. South southeast wind between 5 and 13 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. East southeast wind between 6 and 14 m.p.h.

Saturday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Southeast wind between 9 and 13 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

That's all I have today. Hope you all have a great day!
