If you're looking for a way to give back to your community, well, same answer as above.
The Rotary Club of Waukee is a civic organization that raises money for worthwhile causes. Following a motto of "Service above self," the Rotary Club not only offers members a chance to be philanthropic and charitable with their time, but it also offers a chance to network and socialize with like-minded individuals.
Wendy Marsh, president elect of the Rotary Club of Waukee, said anyone can become a member and the door is always open. The group right now hosts 50 around 50 members, she said.
"We're basically a group of business professionals who get together once a week to socialize and network and work on various projects for charity. We absolutely welcome anyone who has an interest in getting to know members of their community and assisting with some great causes."
Marsh said among the many projects the Rotary Club supports is the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Project recently approved by the Waukee City Council.
