2. Jacobs Gymnastics 9th Annual Tumbling Meet

Where/When: Jacobs Gymnastics, Saturday, 8 a.m.

Why Go: I’m proud to say I love watching gymnastics and I have a feeling many of you do as well.

3. Waukee City Golf Championship

Where/When: Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course, Saturday, 9 a.m.

Why Go: There is nothing wrong with a little friendly competition and that is exactly what this weekend's City Golf Championship will provide for both participants and spectators.

4. Dinner 8

Where/When: Westwind Church, Sunday, 6 p.m.

Why Go: Westwind Church wants to open its doors to members of the Waukee community over a low-key dinner this Sunday night. This is a terrific opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and get to know some genuine people in your community.

5. Live at the Creek Summer Concert Series: Dueling Pianos

Where/When: Jordan Creek Town Center Amphitheater, Sunday, 5 p.m.

Why Go: Because taking a break from your Sunday routine to see the classic match up of piano v. piano will be a great thing for you and the family.
