Easter Weekend in Waukee; What's Happening?

In addition to the requisite church services, here will also be an Easter Egg Hunt in Centennial Park Saturday morning.

 

It's Easter weekend. Do you know what you're doing to celebrate?

Grab your Easter basket and head to Centennial Park for Waukee Parks & Recreation's Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at 10 a.m.

There are three age groups: age 4 and younger, ages 5 to 7, and ages 8 to 10. The hunt will still be held rain or shine.

In traditional fashion, several Waukee area churches are holding Good Friday and Easter worship services. Here's the schedule:

Good Friday

Waukee Community Church, Des Moines Christian High School, 5 p.m.

Point of Grace, 305 N.E. Dartmoor, 6:30 p.m.

Immanuel Lutheran Church, 900 Warrior Lane, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Waukee United Methodist Church, 650 Ashworth Drive, 7 p.m.

St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1200 Warrior Lane, 7 p.m.

Saturday

Point of Grace, 305 N.E. Dartmoor, 5:30 p.m.

Abundant Life Church of Waukee, 670 Elm St., 6 p.m.
