Drake’s Richard Carter started hot Sunday and never cooled off, scoring 46 points – and going 9 for 10 from behind the three-point line – to lead Patch.com to a 107-80 victory over Capital Orthopaedics in the YMCA Capital City Basketball Leauge.

ISU’s Tyrus McGee scored 24 points and Georges Niang had 18.

Drake’s Gary Ricks Jr. led Capital with 22 points. Johnston’s Gabe Knutson had 11.

In other games, Adio Chiropractic defeated Walnut Creek YMCA, 105-95, and Peak Performance defeated Coca-Cola, 95-82.

The YMCA Capital City Basketball League is in its ninth season. It’s an NCAA-certified summer league with players from Drake, Iowa State, EIB, nearby colleges and area high schools.
