Why it’s awesome: I shouldn't have to tell you why this one is awesome. Waukee's Facebook page is a wealth of information on everything from when the next council meeting is to information you need to know about things like trash pick-up and city events and activities.

Waukee Fire & Rescue
Why it’s awesome:  The Waukee Fire & Rescue page is both informative and entertaining. Here, you'll find everything from a reminder to change the batteries in your smoke detector to photos from the pancake breakfast.

KCCI Weather
Why it’s awesome: Sometimes you can't tell the weather just by looking outside. For those times, check out the KCCI Weather page. One of Waukee's own - Frank Scaglione - is a frequent contributor. 

I Love Alice's Spaghetti Land
Why it’s awesome:  Alice's Spaghetti Land had quite the following and now, so does her Facebook page. 'Like' it on Facebook and reminisce about Alice's among friends.

Waukee High School Silver Cord Program
Why it’s awesome: The Waukee High School Silver Cord Program provides photos and volunteer opportunities for philanthropic Waukee High School students. It's a great program and a total inspiration.

Why it’s awesome: Who knew wellness could be so fun? The Waukee Wellness & Chiropractic Facebook page is a wealth of information beyond what should be expected from a chiropractor.

Katie's Crusaders
Why it’s awesome: There are a lot of non-profits out there but Katie's Crusaders is one of the hardest working. The group's Facebook page provides photos of all Katie's Crusaders events as well as updates on how you can contribute to this great local cause.

Stivers Ford Lincoln
Why it’s awesome:  Sure, Stivers sells cars but their Facebook page isn't just an ad for the business. They actually do quite a bit of fundraising for many area non-profits. You can get frequent updates there as well as some great information about things you never thought you'd need to know.
